This season always includes so many different parties and gatherings. That always means making lots of sharable dishes for people. I’m definitely not a pro when it comes to making food (just eating it), so I came up with this super easy appetizer that takes just a couple of minutes and is really easily customizable. Here it is!
Bread and Brie Appetizers – ingredients:
- Freshly baked bread
- Brie spread
- Thinly sliced chicken breast
- Cucumber Slices
- Thinly sliced pears
Step 1: Bake and slice the bread
For these appetizers, I used some of that ready-to-bake bread, because actually making bread from scratch is way too involved for me. But if you feel up to the challenge, go for it. Once the bread is baked, you need to slice it into pieces that are about a half inch thick. Then cut or break the slices in half so they make little bite-size pieces.
Step 2: Add the brie
When you have the bread broken into pieces, you need to spread the brie onto one side of the bread. Just make sure that one side is completely covered with the spread. Or just keep adding brie until you run out. Because who has ever heard of having too much brie?
Step 3: Choose your toppings
Now it’s time to add some different toppings. I made three different varieties that I liked. The toppings I used were thinly sliced chicken breast, thin slices of cucumber, and thin slices of pear. So pick out the topping(s) you think you’d enjoy and place them on top of the brie. Then share them with your friends or fellow partygoers.
