Quick Ways to Boost Your Business This Weekend

quick tips for boosting your biz

The weekend is a great time for busy biz babes to take a break. And you totally should! But I’m sure a lot of you are like me and have sort of a hard time putting absolutely everything on hold for a few days.

In those cases, there are things you can do over the weekend to help grow your creative business without taking away all of your time for rest and fun and whatever else you like to do on the weekends (Netflix binge, anyone??) So I’ve compiled a huge list of things you can do to boost your biz over the weekend. And each item should only take ten to fifteen minutes – tops!

Blogging Stuff

  • make sure all the items on your sidebar are absolutely essential – clean out anything that isn’t necessary
  • take photos for the upcoming week’s blog posts
  • add an extra opt-in form for your email list
  • re-write your bio if you’re not in love with it
  • update old post titles to include relevant keywords
  • browse Etsy or your favorite source for inexpensive blog themes to give your design a boost
  • reach out to another biz owner you admire and ask if you can interview them for an upcoming post
  • update your plugins
  • respond to comments
  • leave comments on other blogs
  • browse for new blogs to follow on Bloglovin’
  • brainstorm ideas for upcoming posts
  • update your editorial calendar

Social Media Stuff

  • verify your website with Pinterest, so when people pin from you it’s also easy for them to find and follow your account – plus, analytics!
  • set up rich pins on Pinterest (you’ll need to verify your site first – then use the Yoast SEO plugin to make this step a lot easier!)
  • change all the photos on your social platforms to the same one
  • have an Instagram flat lay photoshoot so you have content for the upcoming week
  • delete old Pinterest pins that don’t have a lot of interaction
  • schedule your tweets for the upcoming week – include your own posts and interesting content from other influencers in your industry
  • join a couple of Facebook groups for makers/biz owners
  • request to join some Pinterest group boards
  • clean out your feeds so that you don’t follow a bunch of people who don’t regularly post helpful/inspiring content
  • thank people who have shared your content

Business Stuff

  • find deductions you can bring to your tax pro (that deadline is coming up quickly!)
  • create a brand board to help you keep your branding consistent
  • brainstorm an idea for a new infoproduct
  • reach out to another biz owner to see if they’re interested in collaborating on a project
  • clean out your inbox
  • update your services page with more keywords and relevant info
  • add more keywords to your shop listings
  • write out some goals for the upcoming month (hey! you can get a free goal planning worksheet by signing up here!)

Creative (Fun!) Stuff

  • go through some magazines or other content and add to your inspiration board
  • boost your creativity by reconnecting with your favorite hobbies
  • have a just-for-fun photoshoot
  • write out all your ideas in a journal
  • sketch some new product design ideas
  • do some art journaling
  • go through your inspirational file, Pinterest board, or whatever you use to save inspirational content
