A new month means it’s time for a new set of goals! But lately, I’ve been going through a sort of summertime business/blogging slump. It’s not that I feel uninspired or anything. I’ve just had more life stuff going on. And in my limited free time I’d just prefer to go do stuff outside or have fun instead of sitting down and blogging.
For that reason, I didn’t accomplish a lot of my goals from last month. So a lot of these are the same. But I think that’s okay. It’s good to take breaks sometimes and live life. And that’s what I’m going to keep focusing on a lot this summer.
I’m still going to keep some (attainable) goals going though. I always have to have something to work toward. And since I did make some progress on some of my June goals, even if I didn’t fully complete them, I’m going to keep working on those things.
Here are the rest of my July goals:
Take new blog photos
This was on my list for last month, and I straight up just didn’t do it. I still think it’s a worthy goal though, so it’s on the list for July.
Get on a regular blogging schedule
Last month, I planned to get ahead with blog posts. And I started off on the right foot, but then let myself get behind again. So I think that just “getting ahead” might not be the right approach to this goal. Instead, I want to just get on a regular schedule where I spend one day a week knocking out a few posts, every week. So that’s the goal for July.
Keep working on info products
Again, this was sort of on my list for last month. And I sort of started, but didn’t get very far. So my goal for this month is to finish what I started last month.
Create content upgrades
Same as above. I started a couple last month, so I’d like to finish them.
Spend as much time outside as possible
Summer – duh!
How I did with my June goals
The overall theme for this month is stuff I didn’t do last month, so you can imagine…
Take new blog photos
Nope. That’s why it’s still on the list for July.
Get ahead with blog posts
Same as above. I did make progress, but then I let the supply dwindle a little bit without writing more posts. So that’s why I want to get on a regular schedule over the next month.
Start an info product
I started this very briefly – just laid some of the basic groundwork. So I still need to do quite a bit of work in this area. But if we’re going to get technical, then yes I did start it.
Create at least 3 content upgrades
Nope.
Start wedding planning
Yes! I actually got a lot done in this area so I can successfully check this one off the list.
Spend as much time outside as possible
Check! I just kept this one on the list because I want to keep doing it.
