I know it’s cheesy, but the new year always makes me really motivated and excited to set some goals and stuff. In terms of this blog, I’ve been thinking a lot about doing a bit of refocusing. I always seem to be coming up with little projects just to fill space or show people what I think they might want to see. So I thought a lot about what really inspires me, and I realized that the projects I get the most excited about are almost always inspired by pop culture. I pretty much always watch TV shows and movies while I work, I talk about them all the time, and I get a lot of ideas from doing so.
This is not really what I was expecting to find when I re-evaluated. A lot of the blogs I read and admire seem to be inspired by more profound things than Netflix and celebrity hairdos. But I guess I am just not a profound person. And I’m cool with that. So starting in 2015, you’re going to see a lot more projects that were inspired by TV, movies, music, technology, (on rare occasions) sports, and current events. I got so much more inspired when I decided to just let go of the original expectations and image I had in my brain for what a creative blog should look like. So if you are a fellow pop culture enthusiast, I hope you’ll enjoy what I’ve come up with.
I put together a little roundup of other cool pop-culture inspired projects from other blogs. There really are so many ways to be inspired by these subjects, so this is a really small sample. But I have so many of my own ideas and I can’t wait to share them with you!
